St. Joseph School Community,

I hope you have had an incredible summer full of sun, relaxation, and family activities. Last year brought a lot of uncertainty and apprehension towards school. This year, St. Joseph School is committed more than ever towards providing a high-quality Catholic education for your child. I share this message to update you with COVID procedures and protocols for the 2021-2022 academic school year. As stated in a previous message, St. Joseph School will continually reevaluate its procedures and protocols. Listed is updated information that can be shared as of 8/04/2021:

  • Joseph School’s Point of Contact (POC) for COVID related contact/questions is Nurse Kim Nutt. Nurse Kim Nutt was the POC for the 2020-2021 academic school year.
  • Masks will be worn by all students and their faculty in grades PreK 4 – 6th grade.
  • Joseph School will offer two Masses on Wednesdays. SJES & SJMS will attend Mass from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM. Visitors are welcome to attend and must wear a mask. SJHS will attend Mass from 9:50 AM – 10:35 AM. Visitors are welcome to attend Mass and are not required to wear a mask, but are encouraged.
  • Campus buildings will remain closed to visitors except for academic purposes only. Parent-Teacher Conferences may be held in campus buildings. Masks must be worn in the SJES & SJMS campus buildings. Lunch visitors are not permitted on any campus.
  • Seating charts will be utilized in all classrooms and busing of students for contact tracing.
  • Joseph School Tardy/Dismissal times:
    St. Joseph Elementary School: Tardy 8:05 AM
    Dismissal 3:20 PM (M,T,TH, F)/ 2:50 PM (W)
    SJES will dismiss from outside
    St. Joseph Middle School: Tardy: 8:00 AM
    Dismissal 3:20 PM (M,T,TH,F)/ 2:50 PM (W)
    SJMS will dismiss from outside, south parking lot
    St. Joseph High School: Tardy 8:00 AM
    Dismissal 3:30 PM (M,T,TH,F)/ 3:00 PM (W)
  • Joseph Middle School will drop-off and pick-up from the south parking lot due to construction.
  • Student temperatures will not be taken during morning drop-off. St. Joseph Preschool must follow DHS guidelines and restrictions that are currently in place.
  • Service hours for the 2021-2022 academic school year will be fifteen (15). Five (5) of which must be completed at the Flea Market.

Again, St. Joseph School will continually reevaluate its procedures and protocols. As restrictions are lifted or added, this information will be communicated to you via email. The St. Joseph School administration team will always make decisions to protect the greater St. Joseph School community; our students, our faculty and staff, and our families. Your student’s building administrator will be in contact via email to share specifics for their campus soon.
